This circuit is a simple UPS circuit diagram. Input voltage range is 220V AC derived voltage by the transformer into a voltage 12V. 12V AC voltage is passed to a rectifier circuit that produces a DC voltage. DC voltage is then filtered by capacitor C1. In normal circumstances, if the circuit is connected to the 220V AC power, then the circuit will charge the battery through D2. At the simple UPS circuit time not connected to the 220V AC power, the battery will drain current to the regulator through D3. Diode D1 prevents current from flowing back into the battery circuit. Capacitors C2 and C3 serve as a filter to produce an output voltage of 5V DC. Simple UPS circuit circuit diagram produces unregulated DC voltage 12V and 5V DC regulated.
